Here's the scoop...

I thought I'd jot down some things about Walter that I know to be true and on the up and up, give you a little insight as to who you are listening to.
Walter is a very down to earth good guy, he treats all of his many fans the same, with love and true care. He started out with the likes of John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton, he played with Canned Heat, had his own band for awhile called the Angels, he ended up with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. He's been around for years, mostly playing for sell out crowds over seas. (35-36 years)
He now lives in Huntington Beach, California. He still tours all over the world, he is becoming more and more popular here in the USA, as the years roll on, he tours the USA now,
He just won Best guitarist of the year in LA music awards and also best independent Rock album of the year for "Go the distance."
He's been featured in Blues Magazine numerous times, and no telling how many other publications.
He is Married to Marie, and has 3 precious boys, he never forgets to acknowledge them in his concerts, he is just so good and loving.
I got turned onto him through a disc jockey here in St. Louis, he was raving on about Walter one day on the radio, just so happened I was only blocks from a music store, so I stopped in and bought Walters CD, it turned me around. As it turned out Walter was having a concert here at about the same time, after listening to that CD, I busted butt to get a ticket to go see him, I haven't missed a St. Louis show since.
I personally met him a couple of years ago, and started corresponding with his wife via the internet, I wrote a poem for Walter that I presented to him at one of his concerts here, we have been friends ever since, he acted like I gave him a check for a million dollars, Marie tells me he has it on the wall with all his awards can you believe THAT?!
See what I mean about him? He is just so special.
I hope you enjoy this,I have nearly all of his albums,
I'm a groupy Ha!

Sincerely, Blues4mes

A story behind "Marie's mood"
She was pregnant with their son and having problems, it was uncertain she was going to be able to carry the baby. Walter say's he felt very helpless and sad so he wrote this song for Marie. She did make it through the pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Walter says, because God heard their prayers.
I cry every time he plays it live.

Here's a Poem I wrote for Walter:

Walter Trout

I went to a concert just last night,
at a nightclub in St. Louis, it was outa sight.
The place was rockin all night long,
it got better and better with every song.
This band is definitely the best Ive heard,
so Ive just got to spread the word.
The drums in time and really pounding,
the bass and organ were perfectly sounding.
The guitar and vocals were screaming out loud,
so were all the people in the crowd.
They can rock your socks, youll dance in your shoes,
to fine instrumental and down home blues.
When I went to bed my ears were still ringing,
and in my good dreams, I could hear Walter singing.
When you get a chance, youve got to check out,
the best band alive, Walter Trout!
